The Opportunity
We aren’t looking for an order-taker. We are looking for a one-of-a-kind, relentless, strategic builder to take full responsibility and accountability for the pipeline of &Marketing’s Fractional CMO and Marketing Consulting practices.
You will be the tip of the spear in our growth strategy, targeting CEOs and senior management of middle-market companies that are navigating massive change and looking to scale. You won't just be dialing for dollars; you will be building deeply trusting relationships with Centers of Influence (COIs), networking proactively online and in person, and implementing innovative, out-of-the-box strategies to grow our pipeline with high-quality opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Own the Pipeline: From lead generation to close, you will take absolute accountability for the revenue pipeline across both our Fractional CMO and Consulting businesses.
- Build the Network: Identify, engage, and nurture Centers of Influence (COIs). You will network aggressively—both virtually and in person—to build the trusting relationships required to reach our target market.
- Innovate to Grow: Bring fresh, unconventional ideas to the table on how to build and accelerate the pipeline.
- Transition & Scale: Work closely with our Founder & CEO (the current primary salesperson) to successfully transition the company from Founder-led sales to a scalable, repeatable sales machine.
- Drive the Metrics: Live and breathe in our CRM (HubSpot). You will own your data, tracking overall pipeline health, close rates, and weekly activity metrics (meetings booked, events attended, etc.).
- Thought Leadership: Act as a prominent figure representing our business online and in person. Engage in networking, thought leadership, and external activities that enhance exposure for &Marketing.

Basic qualifications and Experiences:
- Business Development Expertise: A proven success record in business development, including a strong desire and capability to network online and in person, generate leads, and close deals, particularly with our target demographic: CEOs and senior leaders of middle-market companies.
- Trusted Advisor: Demonstrated skill as an astute deal-maker who excels at acting as a trusted advisor, capable of turning client business challenges into fruitful partnerships. You have a knack for finding mutually beneficial outcomes in situations where others may not.
- Independence and Initiative: A self-starter who can operate autonomously within a remote team structure and is open to occasional travel as required. You will have the autonomy to identify and pursue the most appealing and profitable opportunities.
- Hands-On and Curious: You're willing to dive into work ("roll up your sleeves"), naturally curious, and make data-based decisions.
- Efficiency and Quality: You have a low tolerance for bureaucracy and prioritize speed without compromising on the quality of outcomes. You're known for holding yourself and others accountable for achieving results and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Accountable and Metric-Driven: You hold yourself and others accountable for achieving results; Experience using a CRM regularly. Familiarity with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) or similar business growth frameworks is an advantage, though not mandatory.
- Location: &Marketing embraces a remote-first culture, but candidates in the Greater Philadelphia area will be given preference because in-person collaboration is better.
The "Strong Pluses" (What makes you a Unicorn)
You have a background in Private Equity, VC, M&A, high-level strategy consulting, marketing strategy, or marketing leadership.
- You have previously held P&L responsibility through periods of high growth.
- You’re an entrepreneur yourself or have held a senior role at a startup or SMB through a period of massive growth.
- You have successfully helped transition a company out of Founder-led sales.
- You already have a trusted network with middle market CEOs and / or their COIs (centers of influence)
- You also can roll up your sleeves and lead or contribute to projects as a billable resource.
Onboarding & Reporting Structure
You won't be flying blind, but you won't be micromanaged either. Together, we will co-create an aggressive 30-60-90-day plan with clear, ambitious goals to take you from onboarding to a top-contributing member of the team. You will report to our COO, with direction and highly collaborative interaction with our Head of Consulting and Founder & CEO (the current primary salesperson).
We want you to have skin in the game. Compensation includes a competitive base salary, performance-based bonuses tied to your success, and the opportunity for long-term profit sharing
Success Metrics
- Build and maintain a qualified pipeline that supports revenue targets.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date CRM data with weekly pipeline reporting and activity metrics (meetings, events attended, proposals sent) in the first 30 days.
- Establish and actively nurture relationships that generate pipeline growth and referral flow within the first 60 days
- Close first deal within 90 days of starting, with a path to hitting full quota by month six
